A little insight into me

Yeah, my thoughts in story form because that's how I share them...

Amelia sat in the hospital with her grandfather. Her grandmother had left hours ago with little certainty of when she would return. Amelia anxiously awaited her arrival. Don't get it wrong. Amelia loves her grandfather, but their relationship had always been one of few words. Hers being "hi, zeda Love you!" and his either "who's my best girlfriend?" Or "you look more beautiful every time I see you." Finding the words to pass the time is a hardship for Amelia. She wants to scream "I love you! Please live forever, or at least long enough to see me happily married." she knows none of that is even possible as no one lives forever and as a perpetual single she isn't expecting marriage anytime soon. So instead she sticks to "how was your lunch and do you need anything" making her feel like a stranger. Time passes slowly and Amelia isn't sure what to do when he complains about the socks that are supposed to help him. Amelia isn't sure what to do about anything. So rather than ask, she sits in fear of something happening while waiting for her baba's return.

When she finally arrives Amelia rejoices inside. Replaying the days events, she slowly readies to leave after a reasonable amount of time so as not to seem anxious. Relief floods through her as she exits the building and is safely locked in her car. Only the fear of the next phone call to sit with her grandfather sits within her. She feels horrible that she hopes the next time is when she is busy. Sending an apology up to heaven, she asks god for the strength to make it through. Breathing deeply she whispers "serenity, courage, wisdom" before pulling out onto the road toward home.

Cheers,
Tabitha
