Baby its cold outside

Hello again!

I was trying to share this news on a YouTube video but my camera has decided to be a spastic jerk. It cannot decided if it has battery power or not. My parents are getting me a knew one for Christmas (My mother cannot keep a secret) and hopefully the new one will be much nicer to me.

But back to the real point. A little over a year ago I moved home in order to save up some money and buy a new car. Last February I purchased a Mazda 3. It is a cute little car. It get good gas mileage and has their SkyActiv technology (being a girl who is not that into cars I don't fully understand what it does). I also love the color and the fact that the front end looks like it is smiling at me.

If I lived in the south this car would be completely perfect. However, I live north of Pittsburgh, Pa. When winter hits it hits good. I'm sure all us Pittsburgh people remember Snowmageddon a few years back. In fact I just finished cleaning snow off my car moments ago. Luckily, I didn't have to work
today. I was able to wait until it was sunny and not windy to clean it off. Unfortunately this isn't always the case. I work shifts and sometimes I have to leave at 5:15am or will not get out of work until 10pm. Getting into a freezing car at night is never fun let alone getting in after having to clean it off for five minutes.

The one thing this car needs that it doesn't come with is a remote starter! My mother has one and every time I steal her car it is so nice to be able to hop into the car and it already be warm. Fortunately my suffering is almost over. After new years I will be getting a remote starter put into my baby.

It is going to set me back $400. But in the long run (when my fingers don't freeze hanging on to the wheel) it will be so very worth it. I may even use it come summertime to make my car nice and cool on those hot days.

Things I can't do left handed...

Last night, I went out to SouthSide to celebrate a friend's birthday. As I have already told you guys in my post Tumble Down the Stairs, I am not the most graceful person. Adding alcohol into the mix only makes it worse. Walking from one bar to the next, I fell down crossing the street. I picked myself up, wiped off the blood and kept moving. This morning when I woke up my right wrist was killing me. Fortunately, I don't think it is broken just sprained or twisted.

I've got a wrap on it to see if it will help it get better.

I am a right handed person. I use my right hand for a lot of things. Since my wrist is hurting today, I've tried to use my left hand for things. I've come to realize there are some things I cannot do left handed.

Some things I cannot do left handed despite how hard I try:
  • Brushing my teeth
  • Taking food from my plate to my mouth
  • Switching between Park, Reverse, and Drive in my car (Thank goodness it isn't a manual!)
  • Writing
There are also some things I cannot do one handed:
  • Put my hair in a pony tail
  • Typing (This post is painful!)
  • opening twist off lids
  • Tying my shoe laces
I'm sure I will find more things over the next day or so that I need my right hand for. I am just reminded of how blessed I am to have two working hands on a daily basis.

#SingleGirlProblem Number 7: Still having to do everything for yourself when you hurt your wrist.

Are any of you ambidextrous? I know I'm not.

Girl meets world...

OH MY GAWD!!! I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!

So my entire childhood pretty much revolved around the television show Boy Meets World and the love story of Cory and Topanga. Not to mention wishing Shawn would go to my school, so I could moon over him every day. Also who didn't love Mr. Feeny, Eric, and Minkus! This was my favorite tv show growing up and I watched every episode. These characters were practically family

I have just learned that a sequel to the tv show is being made starting this year. It is titled Girl Meets World and is following the daughter of Cory and Topanga. Normally, I am terribly disappointed when tv shows or movies make sequels. This is mostly because character's actors/actresses change or the writing and plots just aren't as good as the original. However, this time I have reasons for high hopes for a sequel. First off, Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs is a part of the new show. Secondly, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are returning to play Cory and Topanga. Finally, IMDb alludes to the fact the Rider Strong and Will Friedle might make appearances as Shawn and Eric although neither is confirmed.

The only concern I have is that it is being aired on the Disney channel. I think that Disney is a little more alined with keeping things very kid like where as ABC Family is more into shows about growing and changing. But, I still can't wait to see how they portray the characters as parents and adults.

What do you think of the actress picked for Cory and Topanga's daughter Riley?

Kickball, Mulan, and coloring...

Hey!

As I said a few posts ago, I recently had seven days off from work. It was a great time spent with my friend but coming back to work it felt like I had been gone a month.

My work schedule called for two double days in a row. For those of you who don't work shifts, a double means a 16 hour work day.  I was anticipating having a horrible two days back.

I was however pleasantly surprised. Yesterday, I spent two hours playing kickball with the kids. We had a great time and no one was mean to each other.

Today, we watched Disney movies and colored sweet pictures(see below). I actually enjoyed my time at work. Well, other than getting spit in the face...twice. The good today made up for the bad.

#SingleGirlProblem number 5: no one waiting with face wash ready to go when I walk in the door because they know you had a spitty day

Happy Single Awareness day!!

Err. I mean Happy St. Valentine's Day.

Today is just wrought with singles problems. There are too many it is tough to choose just one.

As a single woman, Valentine's day is low on my list of holidays to celebrate. Lucky for me, I am working all day this year. Even luckier for me, I work where getting flowers isn't really the norm. Valentine's day is just like any other here.

On this holiday, I try not to focus on my lack of relationship but rather the great ones in my family. My grandparents(on both sides), parents, aunt/uncle, and many others are still happily married. My family is blessed with happy healthy marriages and I won't settle for less. This is why I'm so picky when it comes to dating. I'm looking for what I've grown up with and it has been hard to find.

It is Just Coffee...

Hey friends,

So being a single girl, I am somewhat attempting to rectify that status. Meaning I am going out and meeting new people. One of my typical meet up spots is a coffee shop. There are a few reasons for this:

  1. Coffee shops are usually occupied by at least one other person. I am never alone with someone I am just getting to know. As a single woman, I try to stay as safe as possible. You never know whose out there.
  2. I can get there a few minutes early to relax and calm myself so I don't act like an idiot.
  3. We can buy our own coffee. So it is less of a date and more of two people just relaxing and getting to know each other.

Just to be safe I always tell someone (usually my sister) that I am getting coffee with a guy and all the details like where, when, etcetera. Unfortunately, my sister wasn't around yesterday. I was forced to tell my mother of my plans to meet a guy for coffee.

(My mom and me on vacation last year.)

Don't get me wrong, I love my mother to death. She is a fantastic woman who is always helping anyone and everyone. However, just like everyone she has her little quirks. One of them being she blows things way out of portion. Since she knew I was going on a "coffee date," my mom grilled me for information about it when I got home. She didn't make any ridiculous comments, so I thought I made through safely.

My mother being who she is cannot just take things with a grain of salt. Today while shopping with my sister and me, mom brought up my date. She was telling my sister about it as if I was going to marry the guy and give her nine little grandchildren she'd have to convert to Pittsburgh fans. The whole time I am saying "It was JUST coffee."

I'm not sure when coffee became equivalent to getting engaged...or maybe that was how it was done back in the 1970's. I should ask my dad if that's how he got my mom.

#SingleGirlProblem Number 3: Convincing my mother that sometimes coffee is just coffee.

Tumble Down the Stairs...

Hey y'all (the southern is still in my system),

Remember when we were younger and the cool thing to do was look up the meaning of your name? This was probably around the time that My Big Fat Greek Wedding came out and  everything was rooted back to the Greek language. Well that and Windex was the new cure for pimples.

Anywho the real purpose of this rambling is the meaning of my name. Tabitha means Gazelle. Gazelle's are considered to be graceful and swift animals.

I have been haunted by this meaning from the moment I read it. I am not the most graceful person. I am constantly tripping and falling. Basically, I am very good at being the opposite of graceful.

For example, today I was walking down the stairs and fell. There was no reason I fell other than tripping over my own feet. I smacked my elbow, back, and head off the steps. Luckily, I didn't hurt myself. This brings me to the single girl problem of this post.

#SingleGirlProblem Number 2: No one to kiss your bruises or to get you ice when you fall

(My elbow is a little sore.)

Personally, I think I fit more in with urban dictionary's definition of gazelle:
A good looking, yet aloof girl who is consistently guarded when a man shows interest. She will give the impression of mild interest, even go out on dates with a man she is not that interested in, and then run at the first sign of genuine pursuit. On rare occasions, the man is able to catch her interest anyway.
But that is a different story for a different day.

Hope no one else took a tumble today!

Cheers,
Tabitha

Road trip!!

Hey Y'all,

Recently, I've realized that my friends and I have become some sort of adults. I've discovered this because my friends have all been moving out of state to obtain jobs or continue school. There is nothing more eye opening to the fact that your friends are no longer down the hall or on the next street than an twelve hour drive to see them.

This past weekend I drove a twelve hour trip to visit my friend/sorority little. Starting in Pittsburgh around 3am (Yes, I left that early.) I drove all day to end up in Memphis, Tennessee by 4pm.

(About half way there, I realized I could take pictures of myself/the road with my phone's camera simply by using my gps mount.)

The problem I find with traveling alone is that I can never take pictures of the state signs. I was so glad when I figured out how to do it with relative ease on my phone. I was also super happy to see this one after a long morning of driving. It was still a long way to Memphis from the Tennessee/Kentucky line though.

While on my way to visit my friend, I decided to be an opportunist and stop for a couple hours in Nashville. I have been listening to country music since before I was born. It was great to stop and see the place where many artists go to get their start.

(While exploring Nashville, I enjoyed my first real southern sweet tea. The stuff they serve at McDonald's in the north cannot compare. I also ate lunch at a bar where a live band was already playing at 11am.)

Surprisingly after twelve hours, I still had enough energy to visit yet another state with my friend. I met some of the lovely southern women who belong to the same sorority as us. They were sweet, welcoming, and so much fun. I'm so grateful that the alumnae down south have welcome my little into their hearts. It reminds me so much why I joined in the first place.

(State number 6 of my day: Pennsylvania->West Virginia->Ohio->Kentucky->Tennessee->Arkansas)

Another notion towards adulthood was the activities we partook in over the weekend. (Well other than the somewhat random laser tag bonding event her work had.)

We built her a new coffee table because her old one had a broken leg. Yes, two single females were able to correctly follow the instructions and properly build the table. There were even no injuries (other than a small bump to the head and a splinter). It has stayed together...so far.

For some Saturday fun, we went for a walk in the park. We walked around chatting about life and how I should move to Memphis for about two hours. It was such a beautiful day. It made me want to walk around the park more when I got home. However, I will miss the conversation here.

After sampling some delicious BBQ, we went to downtown Memphis and enjoyed some of the fun music filled bars. Surprised by the MardiGras decor, we laughed at the older patrons and vowing to be like them when we got to that point in our lives.
The last day we spent lounging around watching movies and comparing them to our lives. (Who says that life cannot be like Legally Blonde??)

It only took four days, but her cat finally warmed up to me enough to let me pet her...then she wouldn't let me stop.

Finally, we concluded our time together enjoying the grammy's and drooling over our childhood crush, Justin Timberlake.

The trip back I took it six hours at a time stopping only once in the middle to fill up on gas. My secret to staying awake the whole time was obnoxiously singing along to my music. It was a tough drive and I don't look forward to doing it again. However, I will do it again. While the trip to and from was terrible, the time spent reconnecting with my friend and learning about her new life was priceless. I'm glad to have her back in my life.

As you may have noticed, I have retitled my blog once again. One of the topics we discussed this trip was our single statuses including some of the benefits that come with it like just picking up and driving to Memphis because I could. Driving back, I remembered how nice it is to have someone to share the driving with hence the inspiration for my new title/theme for the blog.

I just...

Voted!!!

It is election day people. Get out there and do your civic duty.

I'm not going to share who I voted for or make negative comments about who I didn't. Voting is about using your voice to help make the choices about who runs our country. This is an opportunity a lot of people never get.

Hope everyone lets their voice be heard!

Um...this is a first.

So people have spelled my name wrong many times before but this is a first.

The lady at Starbucks wrote Tabbetha on my lovely plastic cup. While writing it she also gave me a look that said: really that's your name?

In my head I responded:
Yes lady the last time I checked my name was Tabitha. Has been since I was born.

Instead of being rude, I shocked her by purchasing a book for the charity B&N is currently supporting. Haha I love shocking people by going outside their expectations.
Plus doing things like donating a book will bring me good karma...I did get a free drink at lunch today so I gotta pay it forward.

What's the last good thing you did for someone else without promise something in return?

What's the worst someone has misspelled your name?

Cheers,
Tabitha aka Tabbetha

The week of the Greek!

Its that time of year again! Greek Week!

So for those of you not in a fraternity or sorority, Greek Week is a week full of events where we compete against each other all for the coveted 1st place trophy and bragging rights of course! I know what you are thinking wait girls vs guys so unfair. Nope it is the fraternities vs fraternities and the sororities vs sororities. So basically guys vs guys and girls vs girls. Now at bigger schools this can get pretty interesting as to who is going to win. However, at my school there are only 2 sororities that actively participate in the events. So in our minds its you're first or you're last. Last Year, we dominated and took home 1st place (after a 12/13 year losing streak) heck yeah! So, this year we are out to defend our title!

All Dressed up for the week. I even did my make up. Yeah it is that important! :)

Now you are probably wondering what kind of events we have, and if not I am gonna tell you anyway. There are the typical sporting events like football and volleyball. We used to play basketball, but that usually ended in fist fights...We also have some neat Greek themed events like Chariot racing, Greek Games (tug of war, 4x4 relay race, dizzy bat, mattress race, and pyramid race). Now you are probably wondering what all the races are. The chariot race is where the fraternities build a "chariot" and then one of the sorority girls rides in it as they race around a course. Mattress racing is where four people run while carrying a mattress that has a person riding on it. Pyramid racing is where six people run, build a cheerleader pyramid, and then recite the Greek alphabet before running back. These sound ridiculous but are really very fun!

This is one of the chariots that the fraternities we were paired with made. On the negative side, neither chariot our partners made actually made it through both time trials.

We also have the non-athletic events for those that are coordinately challenged lol. These are the trivia contest and eating contest. Trivia you think would be easy, but I don't know where they find these questions. I think the only person who might be able to answer them all would be Ken Jennings lol. Of course the eating contesting is just scarfing down food like pizza, donuts, hot dogs, and zebra cakes as fast as you can without barfing. It is disgusting!

We also like to be community centered and raise funds for some charity. This year we are going caning in the city. I think that means we are wandering around like begging people for their cans? I am not exactly sure we'll see come Thursday what happens. Fingers crossed it won't snow!

Then there is the Holy Grail of Greek Week. Greek Sing/Airband. Greek Sing is where every group sings a song that is special to their fraternity/sorority. I can't sing very well so I don't usually choose to participate. Airband on the other hand is where we don't sing at all. Every group has ten minutes to perform a lip sync routine to any songs of their choice. Sometimes they have themes. Last year our theme was a time warp. We did songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and current ending with the machine breaking and playing Don't Stop Believin. The themes are top secret until the performance so that they aren't stolen by other groups. I'll let you know how this years goes after Friday night!

Here is last years performance that won us first place!

Tabitha

Rain Rain Go Away

Come Back Again Another Day...

Does anyone remember the rest of that rhyme? I tried to Google it, but all I found where ones that I had never heard before.Oh well, it really wasn't important and was just supposed to be the title for my post about the rain. However, now I am going to spend the rest of the day attempting to remember nursery rhymes from my childhood. So I found this, but the last line was definitely not what I used to say...hum...

It's raining, it's pouring;
The old man is snoring.
Bumped his head
And he went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.
Rain, rain, go away;
Come again another day

So, the real purpose of this post was to comment on the insane thunderstorms we had last night and this morning. Outside the building where I work part of the walkway was so covered with water that it looked like it was supposed to be a pond to begin with. Then steps had turned into a waterfall. When I finally made it into the building I was relieved to be out of the water. However, I was in for a surprise. I went down stairs to find that the inside was as bad as the outside. The floor was collecting water. Deciding that the combination of water and electronics was not a good thing I called to report it to the university's maintenance department. Rather than sit in the water I went to work form my laptop in the dry building next door. This is an epic fail for the flat roofed building. According to my boss, the same thing happened over the summer. Clearly this means that they fixed it so well...

I know that by the end of the day I am going to lose my umbrella. Since I cannot fathom the whereabouts of my small compact umbrella, I took a huge "golf" umbrella from the trunk of my car. It is the most annoying umbrella ever. It is pretty much a cane. I feel like I am an idiot carrying it around when everyone has their little baby umbrellas. I keep putting it on the ground under the table I am sitting at. I know that I will never remember to grab it when I leave. I know this because it has already happened once. I was sitting in the mp and I told myself "don't forget to grab the umbrella." Ten seconds later I was walking towards the library sans umbrella. Realizing this, I quickly back tracked and felt even more like an idiot. I have a feeling at the end of the day I am going to be roaming campus playing where's waldo for my umbrella.

I wish you all better luck staying dry today than I have had so far!

Cheers,
Tabitha

Lacking...

...In my blog postings...

So I have been lacking in posting for a while. I am not sorry to say that it is because I am working on getting a life which is time consuming. So, I would love to say that me getting a life is extremely exciting, but nope nothing of the sort. I have really dived into my thesis. I am talking to more people and getting more ideas for my paper. The biggest thing I am doing now is working on my IRB paperwork. I think I am pretty much finished with it, so I am going to have my adviser look at it on Monday and if it is good turn it in :) yay!

I have also been spending a lot of time looking into some job possibilities. It is insanely hard to find a job on the internet. I literally spent hours searching and only came up with one. This is an omen. Either like I am meant to have that job, or I am meant to work with my mother at Giant Eagle for a while after I graduate. I am hoping it is the former because I would really like to be able to pay off my student loans sooner rather than later.

There is also another way I am trying to get a life, but it is early and I don't want to jinx it. So, I am not going to talk about it. You'll just have to wonder :) unless you're Darlene or Kim (and that is a very likely since the two of you are like a third of my followers lol) then you know what I am talking about!

Well for some reason my phone is blowing up right now and I can't keep track. I am gonna go see why everyone wants to talk to me :)

Tabitha

Where is the Snow?

Epic Fail Weatherman & RMU...

So, last night I was told by the weatherman that a massive storm was supposed to be coming. Wasn't it supposed to rival Snowmageddon of 2010? Looking outside my car isn't even covered and the roads are clean. Which knowing my plan is impossible therefore we could not have had too much snow. So, even with the lack of snow my school decided to have a two hour delay. I am not complaining about this because it means that I don't have to go anywhere till I work at 1pm today. What I am going to laugh about is that my school has this text/email alert system for closures/delays. However, this morning my roommate Kim told me we had a delay before the alert did. Wow...really on top of things RMU. I think they are really just lucky that I wasn't already up and moving before I got my alert. I would have been upset...

Given that I was allowed more time to sleep this morning and even more to get ready. I got to sneak in a work out. This is exciting because I usually struggle to find time to get a work out in. This morning I had all the time int he world. It was fantastic! And now I am relaxing and watching the Price is Right. This is one of my favorite shows. When my Baba and Dzedo (grandparents) would babysit me when I was little we would watch it all the time. Well, my Dzedo and I would, he is a big game show fan. My Baba would change it to EWTN as soon as it was over. She is a big God fan. :)
Me telling them to bid $1

Well, now I watch the Price is Right whenever I am babysitting them :P oh how little the times have changed :)

Kim just tole me that there is apparently new maps out for Call of Duty Black Ops today...She is downloading them as I write this. If only I didn't have to go to work in an hour. Darn! Well, we will just have to play later...maybe while she is at work :P
Here's to hoping the "Snow" isn't going to make an appearance anytime soon!

Tabitha

A Recap...

So I haven't posted in a few days...

So this is going to be a recap of the exciting things I have done...Ok so they really aren't that exciting. I mean I am just an average person so the days are never that exciting.

Thursday was 100 Days Til Graduation. I cannot believe that it is so close. I am in no way ready to head out into the working world...but I am so over the homework and class side of academia. I wish I had a nice little cash fund that would allow me to just chill for a bit...but nope I'm too poor for that lol. But anyway to make this momentous occasion the senior class had a 90's party. It was crazy fun. My friends and I played with mouse trap and a ton of other old toys. I also sang some Karaoke. It was a fun time all around which I am accrediting to the cash bar ;) Being a intelligent human being seeing as the roads were getting bad and I had I few drinks I went to stay with Darlene at the Holiday Inn which turned into a fun/interesting night/morning.

Friday was the longest day of my life. After getting only about 4 hours of on and off sleep I was not prepared to stay up until 11/12. Well, I fully had planned to take a nap after work was over at 3pm, but when I got home Kim convinced me to head out to Barnes and Noble and to Market District. I of course cannot say no to shopping especially for books or food :) When we got back we decided to play some Call of Duty Black Ops and have a couple drinks. This turned into us attempting to kill people for hours on end. Eventually leading us to of course relax to some HGTV. Yeah, I know we have the weirdest taste.

Saturday Kim had a thing with her mom so I called up Darlene so that we could cure our boredom. We wandered around the Robinson area for a little while. We looked at JoAnns and Petland which made me want to craft and get a cute little purse dog or really any dog at all. We ended up at Coldstone Creamery where I got a Oreo Blast Love it. This medium ice cream was my entire day of weight watchers points. but it was sooo delicious! Barring the weird guy who waved goodbye to us it was an enjoyable experience.

Sunday was uneventful and today was even less so. Right now I should be listening to my night class instructor because we have a test. However, that requires me to care about the class...and I just can't seem to even listen when I don't have my computer...Fingers crossed that I at least pass this class.

Tabitha

Attack of the Library...

I love books....just not this much

So, lately I have been carving a little nook for myself in the RMU library over the past few days. Everyday except Fridays I have a break from 10-1pm. Now this is three hours that I can accomplish a lot in. I could even go home since I only live 5 minutes away. However, I am just not motivated enough to climb the monster of a hill to my parked car in these freezing temperatures. Instead I camp out in the Library until Kim or Darlene want to join me for lunch. Also, I am my sorority's academic chair. I am in charge of study hours so I get to spend another 3 hours in the library for those.

On one hand this is fantastic. I am spending hours each day in the library working on class work and my thesis. At this rate I will have my thesis done before it is any where near due! Fingers crossed...

On the other hand I am sitting for hours and hours each day staring at text in books and on a screen. my eyes are going buggy and I am getting headaches. The worst part is I have giving up reading actual books I like so that I can get more work done...I miss the happy ending! Research papers never end with two people happily married...or at least they don't write about it :P

Also I am starting to look like this:
FYI: I was sticking my tongue out at Kim and going insane so that's why I look like a freak.

Still haven't decided if I am liking my library time or hating it...oh well maybe someday soon I will be able to read for fun again...

Cheers,
Tabitha

VLOG!!!!!

So I totally Video Blogged! aka Vloged!

So somehow I managed to figure out how to make a video, and post it onto my blog all by myself without any help from Kim. Granted I am not stupid, but I am sometimes not the most computer literate person. And other times technology just hates me lol. I mean just watch this video as you can hear it is the fourth time I shot it...the first two wouldn't upload and the 3rd has sound difficulties :/ I am also a little quiet...at least on my computer.

So I guess by saying these words and answering these questions you can kind of tell where I am from. Kim did it earlier while I was there and so I decided to do it too.
Say these words: Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

Now answer these questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

So since I successfully made a vlog I rewarded myself with a candy bar...I did it a little early since it took a few tries to get it to actually load and have sound...but, for those of you that know me I usually stay away from the candy cause it is too many points. This was worth it :P

Cheers,
Tabitha

I should be sleeping...

But I am just not tired...

So for some insane reason I allowed my boss to schedule me to work every morning at 8am. So by working backwards we can see: Since it takes 5mins to log on to the computer and sign into work I need to be at the desk by 7:55am. It takes 10mins to walk from the parking lot to Franklin so I need to be out of my car by 7:45am. If it hasn't snowed like crazy the night before it takes about 15mins to get in my car and drive to campus so I have to leave my apartment by 7:30am. It takes me about 20mins to eat breakfast and get dressed so I have to be out of the shower by 7:10am. It takes me about 20mins to get in and out of the shower so my alarm clock has to go off at 6:50am. Seeing as I cannot function properly without at least 7-8 hours of sleep I have to be in bed by 10:50-11:50pm. Before this semester started I would stay up till 2-3am. Now I can barely stay up past 11pm. I feel like such an old person! I should not be getting up at 8am everyday of my senior year...but I would rather be getting a paycheck so I think I will continue to grow up.

Today I felt so very mellow. I was sitting in the cafe at school for about hour just listening to slow pop like John Mayer's Who Says. I hadn't felt that at ease in forever. It was fantastic. I hope to stay this content for the next few days...but I am sure it won't last til the morning let alone the week.

Ok so much for the not being tired. My head just started to get heavy and I am going to give in so that I can make it out the door on time. Though I am sure I will prob wake up every hour on the hour from 4am till 6:50am like I did last night. Ick...lol oh well...

Goodnight all!

Tabitha

Its like a crimescene...

...In my pants (In case you're wondering...its a quote from the movie)

So I just got home from a fantastic girls night out with Kim and Darlene. We went to the movies to see No Strings Attached. You know the new movie about being f*** buddies staring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. I consider this movies to be awesome because at one point I was brought to tears laughing and the ending didn't make me cry in a sad way. I think the only negative things about the movie was that we went to see it the night it came out. Therefore the theater was packed with all the annoying people you hope won't be there; annoying giggly talkative girls, couple on a date who don't mind PDAs...Luckily I got to sit in the middle and didn't have to be too near others...

WARNING: If you want to see the movie and be surprised don't read the next section.

Things I officially am adding to my wish list for a man because of this movie:
1)Bring me cupcakes when I am on my period.
2)Make me a period mix tape <3 lol
3)Holding a cute puppy..so adorable!
4)The words "If you come any closer I am never letting you go"

Note: Two gay dads is not necessary but that would be a bonus lol!

So if I hadn't been more sad about my lonely single existence I got to watch more two people fall in love and end up happily ever after...fabulous...

We went to Cadillac Ranch for dinner after the movie. It was crazy loud but at least the music they were playing was good. Someone who will not be named *Cough* Darlene *Cough* ordered from the kids menu. I mean this is no big deal, but she didn't even fight to get her free dessert. :) It was so insanely cold outside and in my car. I am surprised none of us froze to death on the ride home.

There is a first time for everything!!!

I. Am. A. Bridesmaid!!

Remember that surprise Darlene had for me? Well, She asked me to be a bridesmaid!! She gave me a rose wrapped in turquoise and silver ribbons with a card (pictured above) tied on it. I am so excited!! Kim (also a bridesmaid) and I are going to take her dress shopping!! We are all going to play the princess and try on dresses...but mostly we are going to have fun!!

I have never been a bridesmaid before, but now I can't stop thinking about all the fun stuff we are going to get to do:

Bridal Shower
Bachelorette Party
Wedding
Reception

It is so exciting! Mostly because I am so happy for Darlene because she is a fantastic person and deserves a beautiful wedding. Also, because I feel so honored that she picked me to be involved in her wedding! <3

I asked for a new adventure this year and this will definitely be an amazing one!

Cheers,
Tabitha
