The weather was dreary out, but that was normal for a day in London. Clouds covered the sun, and a light drizzle had been stop and go for the past few hours. Looking out the window, Becca was still not used to the view. Only a week ago, her view had been a wide open field in small town Minnesota, USA. When she started her search for family she never expected to leave Minnesota let alone the United States. Fortunately, a clue from her mother’s journals mentioned time spent with a man in London. Becca started to cry at the thought of her mother. It was only a month ago that she buried her. However, cancer was not a forgiving disease, and Becca barely recognized the woman her mother had faded to in the end. Attempting to stop the tears, she thought of her mother before the cancer. Girl’s nights out to the movies, mall, and spa filled with laughter. There never was a dull moment with mom. A smile formed on her lips as she laughed at a random memory. London seemed to reflect the change in Becca’s mood. The storm clouds dispersed and the sun warmed the sky. Becca’s stomach rumbled and she was suddenly starving. Becca remembered from her mother’s journals that Pubs had delicious food and could easily be found on almost every street.
Cheers,
Tabitha
