International Relations ;)

So yeah they always say the best stories come from personal experience :)

Prologue

I can’t remember the first time I heard a man with a foreign accent, but I know from the first word I was hooked. Movies, Music, television, etc. I could never get enough. There was never just one accent I loved. If it was English, Spanish, Irish, French, etc., all they had to do was speak and I’d melt a little. I soon vowed that I would leave my homeland, good old US of A, to gain firsthand experience. The summer before graduating college the chance to explore Europe came my way. Seizing the opportunity, I packed my bags and got on a plane. Little did I know what awaited me on my adventures.

I have more written, but I haven't typed it up yet...will post when I do.

Cheers,

Tabitha

Ladies of the Park

My Lovely followers and others,

New story I promised:

Enjoying a delightful picnic Jessica, Lauren, and Tabitha were laughing at the book that Tabitha had brought. Jessica was especially enjoying it because she knew it was something her farther would never let into the house. Late as usual Danielle strolled up to the three ladies. "Might I inquire as to what is so funny?" Tabitha smiled saying "Perhaps if you had been on time you would be sharing in our amusement." "I had to attend to my father's guests" she explained while joining the picnic. "By attending to her father's guests, she means taking a stroll with Lord Miiller" Lauren quipped causing Jessica and Tabitha to laugh. "Very funny Lauren. At least my man is in town at the moment." Jessica interjects "at least you two have men." Laughing outrageously they began to simmer as people started to stare. "It has been far to long since we have seen each other dear friends." "Tabitha, it has only been two days since Duke James's ball" corrected Lauren. "But it feels as if it has been years" Tabitha exaggerated. "Or at least a few weeks" added Jessica. "Speaking of James's ball, did you see his attire?" asked Danielle. "Positively delicious" gushed Jessica. "No other of our friends could have looked so good in such a color scheme." "It was his ball. He is entitled to go over the top." "Yes, and that is why his parties are always the most fun. No one else is so daring."

London

My lovely followers (All three of you) and any other random people who read this,

I am currently enjoying a lovely couple of months in London, England! I know it is so exciting. I love it here so much that I will come back as much as possible!! I wish I could move here, but it is really expensive lol...except primark (a totally cheap clothing store <3 )

So as you know, I love starting stories and never finishing them lol. I have begun yet another. In my defense it is all because of a picture. So, Lauren, Jess, and I were wandering London in search of some gardens when we passes a old-timey photo place and decided to enter and get a photo taken. We got all dulled up in Victorian clothing and had an awesome photo shoot. In the end, we choose one photo. We are all seated laughing with each other as if at a picnic in the park. The picture intrigued me. Who are these women, why are having a picnic, and what is making them laugh. Is it the book or an inside joke? So, from there I had to write a story to appease myself. As soon as I type it up I will post it!

Cheers,
Tabitha

Even a tiny bit can go a long way....

Just a tidbit I am turning into a story...I hope.

He couldn't breathe. The woman who stood before him couldn't be real. He had to be seeing things or going crazy. The long hours at work must be getting to him because there was no way Jenny was standing there. Jenny McGrievy had died last May.

2 new stories...

Plenty of Proposals

My name is Camilla Parsons, and today is my wedding day. Ever since I was a little girl I have been dreaming about this day. The white dress, the pink roses, my father walking me down the aisle, the diamond engagement ring, and even the song we dance to. The only thing that was unclear was the groom. Over the years his face and name changed, but now I know who he is, and he is waiting for me at the end of the aisle. Like any normal girl I have had my share of heartache, but unlike most girls I have had plenty of proposals. Most women get one proposal. I had 20 from different men. To understand why I am so happy, you have to hear the storybook like tales.

First Proposal

January 18, 1988

Age 6

Ever since our teacher told us she got engaged, a new recess game was created. One boy would propose to a different girl and they would be engaged for the rest of the year. Cammy wasn’t expecting a proposal ever because it had been at least a month without one. Max had been making fun of her in class today and she was especially sad. Hiding out in the corner of the playground she shuffled her feet and played with her pigtails hoping no one would see her crying.

AND....

One Hot Summer

Macy huffed as she tossed her suitcase into the car’s trunk. “Oh, stop your whining and get in the car. You are going to love spending the summer at the lake.” He mother seemed to feel the need to keep mentioning all the fun the lake is. If it was so much fun how come they had never gone before her mom married Alan. Slamming the car door behind her, Macy yanked the seat belt and buckled in for what was sure to be a summer of pure hell. Putting in her headphones and cranking up her music, Macy wished that she could stay home alone for the summer. She would do anything to get away from her mom, Alan, and she couldn’t forget Belinda. Oh course forgetting her would be easier if Belinda wasn’t sitting next to her wearing an entire bottle of pomegranate body spray. Fake gagging as Belinda buckled her seat belt Macy just returned the glare that Belinda sent her way. “Behave you two, or you will both be stuck setting up the house when we get there instead of catching up with friends.” Her mother warned as if it was even a threat. “Doesn’t matter, I don’t have any friends there.” “You’ll make some soon enough.” “Doubt it.” Turning up her music and staring out the window, Macy settled in for a long boring ride.

I found it!

So I totally found the whole quote to my mantra...

Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero – "Seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future."

Love It! Now I just need to Live it!
